A kinder way…

People are looking for a kinder way to interact and to do business.

Kindness improves productivity, increases engagement and builds trust, it’s also just a nicer way to be.

About us

We reconnected after a gap of 20 years. In our years apart, we had similar working experiences: senior management roles in charities; setting up and managing projects; business restructuring. We noticed that, of all the managerial skills we used, it was kindness that brought the best results and the most satisfaction. We believe that genuine understanding, trust and respect amongst colleagues throughout organisations results in greater productivity, job satisfaction and staff retention. This can be achieved more easily if kindness and consideration is at the heart of everything.

We were both in our 40s when we were diagnosed with conditions which had been affecting our lives quite profoundly. Rachael was diagnosed with dyslexia and Dan with depression and, later, anxiety. Through diagnosis came access to treatment and assistance which has helped us to understand and manage our conditions. This understanding means we can empathise with people who feel they are fighting through life with one hand behind their back. There is always a way to win – and it starts with being kind to yourself.

We believe that the traditional view that to succeed personally or in business one has to be ruthless and mercenary, does not need to persist; there are better and easier ways. Kindness is not submission, or just being nice, but a real strength. We realised that there was room for more kindness in our working lives. And in our personal lives, too, for that matter. We can show you how to harness this strength so that it can make a real and positive difference in your life.
